alpineSTOCK is a stock image agency that specializes in motifs of alpine, mountainous and hilly regions worldwide. This includes mountains, hills, rocks, landscapes, cities, towns, buildings, traffic, people as well as flora and fauna. In short, everything that is typical of these regions. An off-topic specialty are photographs of aviation.
Anyone can sell their own images on alpineSTOCK that fit our focus and meet the content and technical requirements. Neither only professional content creators are allowed nor only those who belong to certain groups or have a certain background. The only thing that matters is the quality of the images.
Content Creators create a free user account to sell images on alpineSTOCK. Membership as a content creator is unlimited in time and can be cancelled by either side at any time. After registration, images can be uploaded immediately. Each uploaded image is thoroughly reviewed by our image editors. Content creators will be informed about the approval of their images by e-mail. Approved images are immediately available for sale.
The Content Creators' name is displayed publicly by default. One can set a different display name (nickname) within the user profile. This display name will be displayed instead of the real name. However, for reasons of professionalism, it is recommended to refrain from using a display name. In any case, display names must be chosen as serious as possible.
Our current commission rate is 35%. In other words, Content Creators are paid 65% of the price of each sale. Invoicing and payment are dealt with on a monthly basis. All sales are visible in the user account.

Content Creators must be the authors of the images. Images created by other persons may not be sold under their own name. Content Creators must be at least 18 years old to do business on alpineSTOCK, otherwise a written and signed permission of a legal representative must be provided. Of course, images must not violate any third-party rights and must be fully compliant with the law.
Content Creators can determine the licensing model of their choice at any time.
The Rights Managed option should only be selected for images with a high sales potential. Excellent images with outstanding compositions, great historical value or very rare subjects are suitable for Rights Managed licenses.
Every single image must contain individual keywords, a unique title and a description (metadata). All metadata should be saved prior to upload to the image file. Our software will automatically read this metadata when uploading. However, metadata can also be added later in the account.
Ideally, your images should have geo-tags (e.g. GPS coordinates). However, images can also be subsequently assigned to specific locations in the account.
By uploading images, only those rights are transferred to alpineSTOCK that are necessary for the marketing of your images. The transfer of rights ends when the membership is terminated.
Individual or all images can be deleted at any time via the user’s account at alpineSTOCK.
Of course. Images can be marketed and sold elsewhere at any time. This applies to the Content Creators own website as well as to other agencies. In any case, the terms and conditions of other agencies or sales channels should be carefully reviewed. It is very important that pricing is homogeneous across the portfolio. It should be avoided in the interest of potential image buyers to offer one and the same image at completely different prices with different agencies.

We are also a member of professional media networks such as PictureMaxx, where a closed group of professional media buyers such as editors, advertising agencies, publishers, etc. can access our catalog. In any case, the images are sold by alpineSTOCK.
Images offered exclusively at alpineSTOCK achieve a higher price. In no case the same image or even very similar images may be offered at the same time at other places.
