Aiguilles Dorées, Ascent Couloir Copt

November 1, 2011

Couloir Copt Tete Biselx Morgenlicht

The Aiguilles Dorées (3’519m) are situated in the region Trient in the Mont Blanc massif. Accessible from the village Champex via La Breya, Glacier d’Orny, Col d’Orny, Glacier des Plines, to Bivouac Envers des Dorées. The route leads through the Couloir, to Col Copt, slightly above the S-flank passing Le Trident (alternative: traverse) and eventually over a gap to the N-face back to Plateau Trient. Alternatively, rappeling from Col Copt is possible, but the fixed points are usually hard to discover in snow covered rocks.

The images were taken during the ascend through Couloir Copt, right after the rise of the morning sun. Some of the photographs presented on this page are offered rights managed only.
