Visitors of Mount Titlis, Engelberg, are very delighted to see Buddha from the top platform. Although many others may have had this impression before, chinese gymnastics acrobat Donghua Li spotted this Buddha shaped rock in 1996 and was immediately inspired to win at the Olympics. Since then, many Chinese tourists come and visit this wonderful region of Mount Titlis.
To the eye, this Buddha shaped rock near Mt. Wendenhorn appears rather small as it is situated in some distance from Mount Titlis. This photo was made using a 400mm telephoto lens, the AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G IF-ED, to catch the soft evening light on Buddha.
This photo is of use in tourist advertisments and magazines mainly in China, India and Switzerland.
